Shee Atiká Announces Appointment of Brendan Desjardin to Board of Directors

(Sitka, AK) – Shee Atiká, Incorporated is proud to announce the appointment of Brendan Desjardin to its Board of Directors effective Friday, February 13, 2026, filling the vacancy created by the passing of Director Norma Jean Perkins in November 2025. Following an open application period, the Board selected Mr. Desjardin to serve the remainder of Ms. Perkins’ term, which concludes at the 2028 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

“We had several qualified candidates apply and are grateful that so many shareholders are willing to serve on the board of directors. After thoughtful consideration, the Board believes that his education, for-profit business experience, and leadership qualities made him the right fit for the board vacancy,” said Chairman Steve Karpstein. “We are excited to welcome him to the team.”

Brendan is the son of Helen Perkins and the grandson of Alfred George Perkins. His Tlingit name is Naashoxwáayí and he lives in Anchorage with his wife. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in business administration, and has served in various management roles for more than 25 years. He is currently a project engineer for Schlumberger, one of the largest oil and gas service companies. He believes that effective leadership is not only driven by financial success but by emphasizing social responsibility and sustainability.
